Drawing Flowers Outlines

How to add the outline of a drawing on top of text without covering text?
I want to type a poem and have an outline of a flower show through the text. Thanks
your question is not clear, hopefully by doing the exercise below that you will have an understand of how it could be done. then you will have to make adjustment to the way you want it.
text over image or pattern can be distracting. i think you have to pay attention on color and contrast. i assumed you know how to do this in an image editor program, such as Photoshop.
1. use bold and solid text in first layer, note that this will be an image of text (jpg format).
2. have your outline of a drawing ready, i think monochrome will work best in here. put this in second layer.
3. select the first layer by choosing ‘Select layer transparency’ and then go to the put down menu
4. using your key board to finish this step,
now you have your first layer with the text-cut-out and opaque back ground, and your second layer with your flower image. you will be able to move your flower image to a desire position where it will be most readable through the text.
there are more than one way to do this, depends on how you want it. using the same idea of ‘Select layer transparency’ and ‘Copy’. you could try selecting the layer transparency of the text in the text layer. go to the second layer of the flower image, and perform ‘Copy’ action. create a ‘New Layer’, this will be your third layer. paste the copied image onto this layer. hide the first and second layer. when only showing the third layer, now that you will see a layer with imaged text.
